Azoospermia
Azoospermia means there is no measurable sperm in a man's semen. It is a cause of male infertility, but sperm can sometimes still be found or retrieved directly, allowing treatments such as ICSI.
Azoospermia is when a semen sample contains no measurable sperm. It is found in a small share of men with infertility. It does not always mean no sperm exist at all: depending on the cause, sperm can sometimes be found elsewhere or retrieved directly from the testes in a minor procedure, and then used to fertilise an egg through ICSI. A specialist can investigate the cause and explain the options.
