Varicocele

A varicocele is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum, similar to a varicose vein in the leg. They are common and many cause no problems at all. In some men, though, a varicocele can raise the temperature around the testes and affect how many sperm are made and how well they work. When it is contributing to infertility, it can sometimes be treated with a minor procedure. A doctor can advise whether treatment is likely to help in your case.
